1cup red beans
1l water
1/2 cup sweet rice
2 cups water
1 tsp Sempio Fine Sea Salt detail view
1tsp sugar

[For Rice Ball]
2/3 cup sweet rice powder
2 tbsp warm water

Directions
1. To make rice balls, add warm water and salt into sweet rice powder. Roll the dough into small balls, about 2cm diameter. Set aside.
2. Rinse red beans and soak in warm water for 1 hour.
3. Add red beans and salt in a large pot and add 1L of water to cover. Bring to a boil and simmer for about one hour until the red beans are soft. Add more water if necessary.
5. Place the red beans in a blender and grind well until it gets very smooth. Set aside.
6. Strain the mixture through a metal sieve. Discard the skins remain in the sieve.
6. Add sweet rice powder and water in a large bowl and mix well with whisk. Add into the pot and boil again, stirring frequently.
7. When begin to boil, add rice balls and continue to boil.
8. When the rice balls are beginning to float, season with salt and sugar.
9. Serve immediately.
